Following the decision of the UNESCO Executive Council, two days ago, to include request for Kosovo’s membership in that organization on the official daily agenda of that body, Serbian Twitter followers have decided to launch their own counter-campaign: #NoKosovoUNESCO.
Serbian Twitter followers yesterday launched their ‘digital fight’ against Kosovo’s membership in UNESCO using so called hashtag #NoKosovoUNESCO, by posting numerous pictures of destroyed Serbian monasteries, churches and cemeteries, along with reasoning why Kosovo should not join UNESCO. This is the only initiative launched on social networks against Kosovo’s membership in this organization.
