DNKiM (Association of journalist in K&M) and UNS (Association of Journalists of Serbia) protested, because again at press conference in the building of the Kosovo presidency was not provided a translation in Serbian language, though that is a right guaranteed to the Serbian community.

In a statement to media, DNKiM and UNS reminded that this presents “the continuation of the unacceptable practice of Cabinet and the President of Kosovo, by which Serbian translation is denied, despite the law on use of languages and numerous protests of Serbian media community.” “DNKiM and UNS once again asked the Serbian representatives in the Kosovo institutions, the Office of the Language Commissioner and the Office of Community Affairs to react and fight for respect of Serbian language as official language in Kosovo”.

The statement recalled that last year, at the award ceremony “Beli I Crni Bozur” (White and Black Peony), founded by DNKiM, Cabinet of the President of Kosovo took second place on the list of institutions which unprofessionally cooperate with media.
