Serbia’s liaison officer with Pristina Dejan Pavicevic yesterday stated, following Kosovo’s failure to become UNESCO member, that Belgrade has to find a way to place the topic of Serbian cultural and spiritual heritage in Kosovo and Metohija on the negotiation table in Brussels.
When asked whether it would be better if issues that are linked with the UNSC Resolution 1244 are addressed by the United Nations rather than Brussels, Pavicevic replied that the best thing would be full respect of the Resolution, and if all matters are discussed in the United Nations.
“However, Brussels process is ongoing and it yielded some positive results, and could potentially be a good place for resolving certain problems,” said Pavicevic and added that this refers to cultural heritage, property and many other issues that are important for the survival of Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija.
