The President of the Kosovo Assembly, Kadri Veseli, met today with the European Parliament Vice President and Rapporteur for Kosovo, Ulrike Lunacek, to discuss current developments in Kosovo and the region, dialogue and Kosovo’s challenges in the path toward European integration. Veseli said: “We are at a point where dialogue and understanding between the government and the opposition is key for moving forward with our European integration agenda. We have constantly offered opportunities to discuss the issues raised by the opposition, because we are in a situation where the country’s image is wavering both locally and internationally”. Lunacek expressed her support for the processes that Kosovo is going through, saying that Kosovo citizens are citizens of Europe and that the Europe Union should grant visa liberalization for Kosovo. Lunacek also stressed the importance of dialogue between the government and the opposition, saying that political dialogue is crucial for normalizing the institutional life.
