Police raises security measures in northern Kosovo (TV Most)

Security measures have been raised in northern Kosovo and Metohija, particularly in multiethnic areas where incidents used to take place before, said director of the regional Kosovo Police in the Kosovo north Nenad Djuric to TV Most. He further said that situation is carefully monitored by police who is ready to act in any moment.

“Due to recent terrorist attacks in Paris, security measures have been raised Kosovo wide and all measures have been taken in terms of providing security,” said Djuric. He added that this refers to reinforced traffic control, security checks of important objects, faculties and local self-government premises. “The accent is placed on urban areas, in all municipalities in northern Kosovo, due to increased frequency of movement of people,” explained Djuric and added that those preventive measures are meant to make resident feel more safe than usual.
