Panel of judges of the Basic Court in Pristina announced yesterday a verdict in case Konjuhi and others, referring to ROSU members and events that took place on 7 and 8 January 2013, when nine Serbs were arrested and taken to police station in Gračanica/Graçanicë, and later transferred to detention center in Pristina.

The following day detained Serbs were transported by ROSU members to the Basic Court’s Misdemeanor Department,  but they complained that they were maltreated during transportation to the court, reports Koha.net.

EULEX prosecutor raised indictments in 19 counts in January 2013 against ROSU members charged for misuse of official authority, threats and attacks. Following the main hearing, court panel composed by two international judges and one local judge decided to sentence with one year and six months of imprisonment one ROSU member, while five other police officers are sentenced from one to two years of suspended imprisonment and restrictions in carrying out public duties for up to 3 years.
