The leaders of the three opposition parties, the Vetevendosje Movement, Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK) and the Initiative for Kosovo (NISMA), told reporters in Pristina today that there will be no protest until November 28. Referring to the actions of the government and police on Wednesday, AAK leader Ramush Haradinaj said: “they carried out political actions and arrested people in their homes in the most brutal way possible. We will continue with our opposition. They should stop before it’s too late”. Vetevendosje leader Visar Ymeri called on the police to be in the service of the people. “Political orders to persecute the opposition are unacceptable and we will continue to protest against this. We call on police commanders not to become a tool of the government but to remain in the service of the people. The will against the agreements will triumph,” Ymeri said. NISMA leader Fatmir Limaj said Prime Minister Isa Mustafa and Deputy Prime Minister Hashim Thaci have “captured the state” and that they made political decisions in the case of AAK MP Donika Kadaj-Bujupi.
