Gjilan/Gnjilane mayor, Lutfi Haziri, hosted today Kosovo’s Minister for Communities and Returns, Dalibor Jevtic and the Minister for Administration of Local Government, Ljubomir Maric, to discuss important matters for Gjilan/Gnjilane population. “We discussed today the plans and possibilities for the 2016 budget and for development on community interests in Gjilan/Gnjilane, villages such as Shillova, Cernica and Kmetoci as well as the urban part surrounding the ‘Saint Nikola” church, schools etc. We also discussed the administrative borders between Gjilan and other municipalities. Also it is our interest to have Gjilan/Gnjilane deputy mayor for communities and we are discussing with the political parties for this to happen as soon as possible,” said Mayor Haziri after the meeting.
Minister for Communities and Returns, Dalibor Jevtic, expressed his appreciation to Mayor Haziri for the hospitality and added that they discussed joint projects for 2016. “Today, we have discussed important issues that concern the position of the minority communities who live in Gjilan/Gnjilane, plans for 2016, fulfillment of the joint projects which would improve the lives of Gjilan population. Next year, the RK4 project for returns will be completed, as well as other joint projects for infrastructure,” Jevtic said.
Minister Maric stressed that they also discussed planning of the strategy for economic development.
