Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) MP Adem Salihaj in an interview for the news site argues that the opposition bloc is trying to get to power through popular protests. “There is one question that preoccupies us: are the violent protests and the blockade of institutions aimed at annulling these agreements [the agreement on Association/Community of Serb-majority municipalities and the border demarcation agreement with Montenegro] or is there another hidden agenda behind this, such as the downfall of the government and early elections. I believe the ultimate objective of the opposition is to get to power. The Prime Minister has mentioned the possible review of the border demarcation agreement, but the opposition is refusing the offer and this makes its objectives questionable,” Salihaj said. “The refusal of the opposition to sit down and discuss possible solutions to these problems is a bad sign. There are doubts that some people who could be in the list of the accused by the special court, are inciting and orchestrating the opposition with the aim of delaying the formation of the special court.”
