Kosovo President Atifete Jahjaga has paid a visit to Serbian family Maksimovic in Gračanica/Graçanicë on the occasion of the Orthodox Christmas and wished them good health and happiness.
This is not the first time that Kosovo officials are visiting Serbian families during Christmas, aimed at showing themselves in good light in front of the international community in Kosovo. Two years ago, than prime minister, Hashim Thaci paid a visit to Serb families in Klina/Klinë, just a day after displaced Serbs were not allowed to visit the church in Đakovica/Gjakovë.
Taking into account the recent attack on Serbs in Goraždevac and attacks on returnees in Klina/Klinë and Istok/Istog during last year, one can only make conclusion that Kosovo is far away from a ‘joint future’ and ‘well-being for all citizens’ what Jahjaga pledged for while visiting Maksimovic family with full hands of presents and cakes.
