The Mayor of Gračanica/Graçanicë Municipality Vladeta Kostic yesterday strongly condemned desecration of the Church of St. Demetrius in village Susica in that municipality, calling on authorities to immediately find the perpetrators of attacks on the Serbian Orthodox Church property.
“It is not the first time that the church is burglarized and that perpetrators have not been found,” said Kostic and added that it is a high time to put an end to events that are causing anxiety and undermining security in the Gračanica/Graçanicë municipality. “Sanctity must be respected and it is unacceptable that these things are repeated,” said Kostic.
Unknown perpetrators have burglarized the Church of St. Demetrius in village Sucica and took away a box with donations. The same church was burglarized on 13 February last year.
