Kosovo’s President of the Assembly, Kadri Veseli, appealed to the President of Kosovo, Atifete Jahjaga, to call the parties in order to find a solution for the political crisis. “Jahjaga will not be in a bad position after the end of her mandate, she will gain many benefits. It is necessary to find a political solution to overcome these challenges and to orient the country towards economic development.
It is a constitutional as well as moral obligation to the citizens to overcome this situation. We are being affected internally and externally. While we are continuing with the internal conflict, we are being affected in the international arena. The President of the country should call the parties to sit around the table of dialogue. This is her constitutional obligation and the parties should respond. The threat with elections is not an option, because it would create a precedent, while dialogue remains an obligation for every one of us. Any solution should happen by respecting the constitution and legitimacy given by the citizens,” Veseli wrote.
