Kosovo’s Minister of Internal Affairs, Skender Hyseni, said during his speech at the “Germia Hill” international conference, that crisis and conflicts in Ukraine and Syria have had a destabilizing impact on the Western Balkans as well.
Hyseni said that there has been sympathy for the Syrian opposition among certain people in Kosovo and there have been direct consequences. “It is true that Kosovo has produced people who have participated in these foreign wars, however we have the situation under control now. We have identified almost every citizen killed in Syria or who has returned from there. We will do everything necessary to defend the country from this phenomenon,” Hysni said.
