Simply put, it has come to a point that even the illusion of the survival of institutional parallelism no longer exists and the process of normalization is underway. For many Serbs, this has led them to thinking of leaving, while others are thinking about how they can realistically improve their lives. I think that when it comes to the Serbs uncertainty prevails. Life has changed, but it is very difficult at this stage to say whether it is for the better,” he said.
“I think that independence has not brought many good things for the Albanians. Hundreds of thousands of people have left Kosovo. This is an entirely political phenomenon, which does not exist in democratic Europe. In my opinion, this is not the society the people of Kosovo used to live in; rather it is a destroyed postmodern society. It will probably stabilize, but it will take a lot of time,” said Janjic.
