Slobodan Petrovic, Deputy President of the Kosovo Assembly considers that the election of Hashim Thaci for President is the best solution in this situation, although Belgrade accused Thaci for war crimes and organ trafficking. “Hashim Thaci is the only candidate for president, proposed by the ruling coalition. He is the best solution for this position, considering the current situation in Kosovo. If he is not elected, elections will be scheduled, and this will further complicate the situation in Kosovo,” said Petrovic.
He says that the frequent attacks on Serbs lately are a consequence of the crisis which has existed in Kosovo since the establishment of the current Kosovo Government. “The perpetrators have not been found and there is no justification for this. This must come to an end, because if the perpetrators of the attacks on Serbs are not found, the question is what’s next,” said Petrovic. According to him, the international presence in Kosovo is the only guaranty of security and KFOR members have the highest level of support from the Serbs.
