The Church of Resurrection of the Holy Mother in Pejčići village near Prizren was burglarized and robbed yesterday, informed the Eparchy of Raska and Prizren, and added that this Church is on the list of monuments of culture of special importance.
According to the Eparchy, unknown persons broke into the Church by breaking the main entrance door and stole three golden plated crosses, and icons were thrown around. Traces of digging were also found, informed the Eparchy and added that a priest who serves in Prizren reported the case to Kosovo Police.
The Eparchy also stated that this is not the first church to be burglarized this year – a church in Sušica village in Gračanica/Graçanicë municipality was also burglarized in January this year.
