The leader of the Initiative for Kosovo, Fatmir Limaj, will attend a meeting with international members of the Commission for  Demarcation, established by President Atifete Jahjaga. Limaj’s presence was confirmed by Endrit Shala from Nisma.

The Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK), has not received an invitation yet, however they confirmed participation. “We have not received an invitation, but in principal, AAK will say yes to the meeting. What will be discussed at the meeting is another matter, but we are definitely not against the meeting,” said the spokesperson of the party, Muharrem Nitaj.

However, the Vetevendosje movement is categorically against participating in the meeting. One of the reasons is that local experts are not included in the Commission. “Based on the list of participants, it is very clear that we are not dealing with a group of experts and it cannot be so without local experts that have long term experience and are aware of the details of the issue of demarcation of the border with Montenegro,” said Vetevendosje deputy leader, Driton Caushi.

Safet Zejnullahu, from the Office of the President said the work of the Commission is expected to be completed within two weeks.

Fletcher Burton, Herbert Wilmes and Fred Newton are members of the Commission that are expected to shed light on this contradictory process.
