The Constitutional Court today has declared as inadmissible the opposition’s request to contest the election of Hashim Thaci as Kosovo President. “The Court observes that the Applicants have not presented any arguments in relation to the substance of the contested Decision. The Constitutional Court, based on Article 42, paragraph 1.3 of the Law and Rule 36 (1), (d) and (2), (d) of the Rules of Procedure, considers that the Applicants have not sufficiently substantiated their claims that the Decision of the Assembly “on the election of the President of the Republic of Kosovo”, is in violation of Article 86, paragraphs 4 and 5 of the Constitution,” reads the Court’s decision.
