UNMIK, essentially violates the CEFTA agreement, because it has signed it and is responsible for its implementation. Why UNMIK does not respect its signature, this is something that should be answered, said the Minister of Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs Aleksandar Vulin.

He told reporters that UNMIK, which by the Resolution 1244 has the highest authority in Kosovo, complains that it was denied the mandate and that its powers are not implemented, and now there is the question of why UNMIK allowed that its powers are not implemented.

He points out that the whole situation with the blockade of trucks and violation of the agreement is very bad, and economically and politically, and underlines that it is bad and that the international community cannot assume its authority and do what it has committed itself to.

“Brussels is definitely the address where one should look for a solution, because of the political impact it has, because of the guarantees undertaken by signing the Brussels agreement and because of the very bad message that is given to the authorities, to Belgrade especially, and the statement, which repeats continuously that our agreement might not be respected and without penalty,” says Aleksandra Vulin.

He added that the Resolution 1244 is clear. The very signing of the CEFTA agreement has been performed by the UNMIK administration, but in the political sense, the address to solve the problem is – Brussels.
