President of the Czech Republic, Miloš Zeman, said that he is against independence of Kosovo and that he had protested at the time when former Czech foreign minister Karel Schwarzenberg forced the government in Prague to recognize Kosovo’s independence, reports MIA agency.

“I was always against independent Kosovo,” said Zeman. A correspondent of MIA agency from Czech Republic reported that Zeman added that in the capacity of the President, and within the limitations of his authority, he protested against it by refusing to appoint the ambassador in Pristina and refused to meet Kosovo’s diplomatic representative in Prague.
