Republic Electoral Commission (REC) of Serbia has decided to reduce the number of locations for the polling stations in Kosovo and Metohija from 25 to 21, due to security concerns.

The chairperson of REC Dejan Đurđević said that security situation in Kosovo is such that the risk for voters is high at polling stations, thus the number of locations will be reduced and some polling stations’ addresses will be changed in order that everything is kept under control.

“There will be more polling stations, around 10 at one location, and it is mainly about schools,” said Đurđević and added that the number of voters will be the same and that there will be 90 polling stations at 21 locations, instead on 25.
