The EU Office/EU Special Representative in Kosovo announced it would allocate 4.2 million euro to support seven new projects to be implemented by civil society organisations in Kosovo. The funding is aimed at helping the civil society address issues such as protection of victims of violence, non-formal education and employment, promotion of fundamental and human rights of vulnerable groups. “We want to support the development of a civil society which represents the needs of the people and has the capacity to take active part in public debates about democratic reforms and that promotes human rights and is able to influence decision-making processes,” said Christof Stock, head of EU Office in Kosovo’s Cooperation Sector.
