In regards to the EU recommendation on the abolishment of visas for Kosovo, Deputy Prime Minister Branimir Stojanovic stressed that this decision did not define how holders of Serbian passports would travel, those with passports issued by the Serbian Interior Ministry’s Coordination Service. “It is important to get an answer to that question. I don’t see any reason for the exemption of Serbian passports from visa liberalization regime, since the geographical location is the same,” said Stojanovic.

“Serbs wonder whether they will continue to encounter administrative obstacles on the border to the EU and whether the holders of the passports issued by the Coordination Service need visas issued in Belgrade or Pristina,” said President of the Serbian List Slavko Simić.

As expected, for the Albanian politicians the decision is of historical importance, but for ordinary people, according to analysts, it is not a vital issue. “They gave us visas but not tickets. Most of the population has no money to pay the tickets. In any case this should happen much earlier, instead of leaving Kosovo in a kind of quarantine,” said Kosovo analyst Fadil Lepaja.
