Branimir Stojanović, Deputy Prime Minister, said that the negotiating process would define Statute of the Association/Community of Serb municipalities in detail, and therefore the jurisdiction of the A/CSM.

All that we can hear now in connection to the A/CSM are only wishes and ideas of some sides, Stojanović said.

“Attitudes of Belgrade and Pristina are quite different. The framework that we got from Brussels is the starting point. Statute will define to the end all the responsibilities of the A/CSM. We need a community which will have the capacity to crucially influence the lives of people, to change it for the better,” said Stojanović when asked to comment on allegations that the A/CSM will not have executive’s authority.

Stojanović says that the political framework is not sufficient and effective.

“It’s not giving us enough strength to change what we need to change in our lives. On the other hand, those who control key mechanisms do not want to do what is necessary. Therefore, we need these mechanisms to define through the Community, and we will not give up from this, what will be the result, will see. It depends surely and of negotiations, political circumstances,” told reporters Stojanović.
