The ban on the import of school books in Serbian language is still valid, in line with the decision of the Kosovo Ministry of Education. It has to do with the, so called, decision on reciprocity, which is the problem that has been created before and on which we can’t have any influence, said Bojan Todorović, advisor to the Kosovo Deputy Prime Minister Branimir Stojanović.

Reflecting on the issue with the ban on books Todorović explained that books that are not school books, will not be confiscated by the customs. He added that shipments containing books should bear a label which stipulates that such books are not the school books and that shipment’s value is not exceeding EUR 22, because if the value is higher the customs will charge the customs fee for the shipment. Todorović also said that books that have been confiscated so far will be returned, however if the problem continues, those who are affected can contact the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister directly.
