People’s Republic of China is willing to donate 2.4 million euros for the construction of “Sunny Valley”, the returnee settlement in Kosovo, reports Kurir daily. Although the total value of the project is not yet known, since the exact number of residential units that will be built is not known, so far China is the largest single donor who has expressed interest in investing. “They will donate equipment worth 2.4 million euros. It is equipment for heating and cooling, solar street lighting system, optical cables and internal IT installations for houses,” says Marko Djurić, director of the Office for Kosovo, in an interview for Kurir.

The funds for the construction of settlement will be provided from the development program of the municipality of Zvecan / Zveçan, from domestic and foreign grants, and from the projects that are addressing the issue of return of displaced persons to Kosovo.
