Remarks presented by Kosovo’s general auditor about the financial management of the Ministry for Communities and Return about alleged illegal spending of funds, serves only as an introduction into abolishing of this ministry, writes paper.

In his report the general auditor describes as ungrounded and non-transparent spending, among the other, paying of electricity bills for collective centers, purchasing of woods for returnees, vehicles for Serbian NGOs and media, and paying for medical treatment of a Serbian child for which parents didn’t have money. Paper’s source in the Kosovo government said that report is tendentious and aims to discredit the only ministry that has seriously approach to problems of Serbs and non-Albanians. Serbs are heading this ministry as of its establishment and from this reason both Albanian political parties, in the ruling coalition and in the opposition, have issues with it.

The Minister for Communities and Return, Dalibor Jevtić, is particularly blamed by Pristina for his support to the construction of the ‘Sunny Valley’ in northern Kosovo, where some 1500 were supposed to return.

According to ‘Novosti’ one of the proposals which is considered in the political circles in Pristina is that another ministry lead by a Serb, Ministry for Local Government Administration, joins the Ministry for Public Administration. However, representatives of the international community in Kosovo do not favor this idea of authorities in Pristina.
