Municipalities in northern Kosovo have refused to be the part of the registration of farms in Kosovo which was conducted from 1 to 20 November last year.

The registration was performed in 34 municipalities in Kosovo.

Although it was anticipated that results of the registration will be published in September, the Statistical Institute of Kosovo announced that today it will present the results.

“The agricultural registration was carried out in 34 municipalities in Kosovo, while it could not be executed in the four municipalities in the north (Leposavić, Zvečan, Zubin Potok and North Mitrovica) because they refused to participate in the census,” reads the statement of the Statistical Institute of Kosovo.

The Institute points out that they carried out all the preparations to organize the registration in all parts of Kosovo.

The Project of Registration of Agriculture Land is funded by the Government and donors, including the EU Office in Kosovo, the Embassy of Sweden in Kosovo through the agency SIDA, the Government of the United Kingdom through DFID, the Swiss Cooperation Office, the Government of Denmark and Embassy of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.
