Terrace of café ‘Dolce Vita’ in Mitrovica north set on fire (RTS)

Unknown persons have set on fire the terrace of cafe ‘Dolce Vita’ early this morning in northern part of Kosovska Mitrovica. No one was injured in the incident, however material damage is considerable.

The incident took place around 03:00 am after two unknown persons have thrown a Molotov cocktail on the terrace of one of the most popular cafes in Mitrovica north. The terrace has completely burned, and windows have cracked on the premise. Just across this place are situated members of KFOR and Kosovo Police who are providing security on the main bridge over the Ibar River that divides the town. Owner of the cafe didn’t want to comment the incident.

Kosovo Police has carried out inspection of the site and investigation is ongoing. The motive is unknown for the attack on the café, which was yesterday visited by Kosovo Minister without portfolio in charged for the dialogue with Belgrade, Edita Tahiri, and Mayor of Mitrovica south, Agim Bahtiri.
