The leader of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK) Ramush Haradinaj told Kallxo.com that Albanians historically respected religious temples, however he rose suspicions on whether the respective building at Pristina University campus is a church. “I do not know if it is a church or not, the question is if the building we are talking about is a church or not. This is a building built at the period when genocide was exercised in Kosovo. This building, built at that time, did not take the epithet of a religious temple, and the institutions of the country should treat it as such, starting from its origin and onwards,” Haradinaj said.

He further requested from the Municipality of Pristina and the government to clarify to the people of Kosovo if everything is in order with the church. “If the manner of building a religious place at the University campus is not proper, let them explain it to us, the Municipality, the government should tell us,” he said.

However, Haradinaj added that Albanians have never had problems with the Church, as a religious temple, adding that the respective building never served as a church.

“Our population disagrees with such buildings, we are not saying with the Church, because Albanians also have their own Church, the cross is known to them for centuries, but we do not know if this one is a church, it did not serve as a church, it was built by paramilitaries, which is surprising,” Haradinaj said.
