The Serb Orthodox Church representative, abbot Sava Janjic, claimed that the Orthodox Church building at the University of Pristina campus was twice confirmed to be under the ownership of the Serb Orthodox Church by UNMIK in 2003 and 2012. Janjic claimed to have in possession a certificate issued by the Kosovo cadastral agency showing that property in question belongs to the Serb Orthodox Church and that the construction permit was given in 1990 by Hamdi Vraniqi, father to one of the officials from the party that most vehemently opposes the church in Pristina. However, Janjic failed to mention that an UNMIK decision of 1999 declared invalid all laws in Kosovo approved after 22 March 1989, a day before the Kosovo autonomy was abolished by Milosevic’s regime.
