Kosovo President Hashim Thaci met today in Pristina Christian Hellbach, director for Eastern Europe in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Germany. Thaci thanked Hellbach for Germany’s support to Kosovo, not only in foreign policy but also the financial support in various sectors. Thaci said that Germany remains a very important partner for Kosovo’s Euro-Atlantic path. He also informed Hellbach on the changes that started for the amendment of Criminal Code in order to further consolidate the rule of law in Kosovo. On the other hand, Hellbach said that Germany will continue to support Kosovo in all areas. Thaci and Hellbach also discussed the necessity of continuing the dialogue on normalizing relations between Kosovo and Serbia, but also the internal dialogue between the institutions and the Serb community. Thaci also said that Kosovo security institutions in the recent months have done an exceptional job in the prevention of youth participation in foreign wars, and preventing terrorist attacks.
