Serbian Government: Peace, stability in Balkans must be preserved

Prime Minister Aleksandar Vučić met today in Davos with US Vice President Joe Biden, with whom he spoke about relations between the two countries and the situation in the region.

Prime Minister Vučić informed the US Vice President about Serbia’s stance on regional stability and bringing armed troops to the north of Kosovo-Metohija.

Vice President Biden commended economic reforms implemented by the Serbian government and Prime Minister’s Vucic commitment to that process.

He underlined that Serbia is key to the stability of the Western Balkans and that it should be fully integrated into the EU as soon as possible.

Big steps have been made in dialogue with Pristina too, Vice President Biden underlined and expressed gratitude for the hospitality he received during his last year’s visit to Serbia.

According to the Serbian government, the two officials concluded that peace and stability in the Balkans have to be preserved.
