A train that on Saturday, 14 January, went from Belgrade to Mitrovica, was funded by the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, writes Politika.

This train, how Politika writes, will not go to Mitrovica, due to the safety of passengers and workers of Serbian Railways, but will transport passengers from Kraljevo to Požega.

The train will be used and for other lines, to make it possible for other people to see it in Serbia.

The Belgrade-Kosovska Mitrovica will be a test line, but the painted train will not carry the passengers. The trains should operate on this route until 26 January, when the state will definitely decide whether it is worth of launching the line, which was shut down 20 years ago.

Politika daily writes today that the introduction of the train from Belgrade to Kosovska Mitrovica is not profitable, especially as in the implementation of the reform in Railways, 420 kilometres of unprofitable lines were shut, and the number of employees was reduced by 3 000.
