A group of 25 apolitical professionals from Kosovo and Diaspora have sent a letter to all relevant Kosovo institutions urging them to immediately establish an armed force. The group expressed concern over the recent situation in face of “direct threats from Serbia.”
“Regardless of limited financial resources and the pressing needs in the field of education, healthcare, infrastructure; national security has no price. It is a prerequisite for development. Our continuous experience as a people proved that in the absence of effective defence structures, the civilian population and the interest of Kosovo have been persistently damaged. We cannot allow history repeat itself,” the signers wrote.
