The president of the Assembly of Kosovo, Kadri Veseli, hosted a meeting with the chiefs of the missions of the EU member states accredited to Kosovo.
After the meeting he held a press conference where he spoke about Kosovo’s path towards the EU.
He said that Kosovo is contributor of the stability in Balkans and that Kosovo’s path is integration in the EU.
“Kosovo is not any more a consuming state or society of stability, but it is contributor to the stability. We will continue with the course of communication between the government and opposition, we will continue with the course of integration of all communities, and at the same time, we will continue to strengthen sovereignty which is a vital imperative as well as in the path towards EU. To us, partnership with the EU is very important. We have received pledge from the EU that we will meet more frequently. I assure them that Kosovo has its very clear path, integration in the EU,” Veseli said.
The EU Special Representative for Kosovo, Natalia Apostolova, said that the role of the Assembly is important for reforms which have to take place, economic development, employment, culture.
“Therefore, implementation of the SAA is very important. We agreed to hold more frequent meetings and communicate more, because dialogue that has to take place at the Assembly is very important for the citizens,” Apostolova said.
