Agim Veliu, deputy leader of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), told the paper that his party has not changed its position on PAN’s candidate for Assembly President, Kadri Veseli. “We don’t have to reiterate our position. It was adopted by all LDK structures and we no longer have to address that issue,” Veliu said. Asked to comment on media reports that the New Kosovo Alliance (AKR) could leave the coalition with LDK and Alternativa and support the PAN coalition, Veliu said: “We still have not met to discuss this, whether someone could change their position. There is no indication about this yet”. Veliu also said he was optimistic that the current stalemate will soon be resolved. “We expect the Assembly to meet, to have a proposal based on the Constitution and move forward. The MPs are there to vote in favor or against and the situation will be unblocked,” he added.
