Central Election Commission (CEC) expects to announce final local election results during this week, said spokesperson Valmir Elezi. He explained that the counting of conditional ballots will be concluded by Wednesday. “Once the final elections are announced, political entities and candidates can file their complaints with relevant institutions,” Elezi said. However, head of Election Complaints and Appeals Panel (ECAP), Mul Desku, said they have already received 252 complaints so far of which 213 are related to allegations of irregularities in the counting of votes. Desku said that all candidates and political parties that have already filed complaints with ECAP will have to resubmit them after the official results are announced.
