Vetevendosje leader Visar Ymeri commented today on the arrest warrants against Vetevendosje MPs Albin Kurti, Donika Kadaj, Albulena Haxhiu and Faton Topalli, for throwing teargas in the Kosovo Parliament. In a Facebook post, Ymeri asked Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj “where is he hiding” and why he is not commenting on these developments. “Politically and constitutionally, our protest proved to be right and necessary. By stopping the Association [Community of Serb-majority municipalities] we saved the constitutional order of the Republic. By preventing the ratification of the demarcation with Montenegro, we safeguarded the territorial integrity of the Republic. The arrest warrants against the MPs and the macabre sentences against our activists are a revenge by the Pronto Clan and LDK’s Pronto 2, because we did not allow them to destroy the Republic. Desperate and in panic, they will fail. But what about the Prime Minister? Where is he hiding? Why isn’t he talking about this? What does he think today? Where we wrong to join forces at the protest? Does he stand against that protest? Does he think that the Association and the demarcation agreement should have passed? Is he too seized? Or maybe only his mouth has been shut,” Ymeri wrote.
