Unemployment, poverty and corruption, main problems of Kosovars (media)

Most online media report on the publication of UNDP’s Public Pulse today which highlight unemployment, corruption and poverty among the main issues that impact the social well-being of Kosovo citizens. Respondents were asked to list the main problems they face and they highlighted unemployment (40% compared to 48% in October 2016), corruption (17 percent compared to 7 percent in October 2016) and poverty (9 percent compared to 21 percent in October 2016). The survey results show there is growing satisfaction with the work of Kosovo institutions; around 36 percent of Kosovars said they are satisfied with the work of legislative, executive and judicial institutions (compared to 21 percent in October 2016). Meanwhile, the overall level of satisfaction with Kosovo’s political orientation remains low, as the survey shows a moderate increase (14 percent compared to 8 percent in October 2016). There is also a 10 percent increase in the people’s perception about security.
