Valdete Daka, chairperson of Kosovo’s Central Election Commission (CEC), called on Kosovo President Hashim Thaci to initiate the election reform after the certification of the results of local elections. During a conference in Pristina on “Improving Institutional Accountability for Enforcing the Law on Gender Equality”, Daka said: “the election reform awaits us. I use the opportunity that the President of the Republic is here with us today. On behalf of the CEC, I call for the election reform to be initiated after the certification of local election results. In the previous national and local elections, we have come across many flaws and remarks and problems. This is what all institutions need to have in mind and the President should initiate the election reform”.
