Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said that the murder of Oliver Ivanovic is a terrorist act and Serbia will treat this act as such, B92 reported.
Addressing the Serbian media, after the meeting of the National Security Council, held following the murder of Oliver Ivanovic, Vucic personally, on behalf of the Serbian state and on behalf of the government expressed the condolence to the family of Oliver Ivanovic.
“For the state of Serbia this is a terrorist act and in line with that we will treat this act as such,” Vucic told the media.
“The perpetrators of this act will be caught, and if they do not do it, we will do it,” he added.
Vucic said it was agreed during the meeting and the letter was sent to EULEX and UNMIK requesting that the state bodies of the Republic of Serbia take part in the investigation in the territory of Kosovo and Metohija.
“This is because we are convinced this would mean finding out the truth about the murder of Oliver Ivanovic. We will find the killer or killers. I have no authority to speak at this moment about information we have. I do not want to speculate, but there are interesting details that point out possible perpetrators,” Vucic said.
“A man who is a parent, husband, who certainly was not someone who would call for a conflict between Serbs and Albanians is killed. Whoever did it, Serb, Albanian, a foreigner, carried out the attack against the Ivanovic’s family, against Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija, north of Kosovo, against Serbs as a whole.”
Vucic also added, if a question would arise as to whose favor a murder of a Serb would go to, Vucic said “it would be clear to everybody.”
However, he said he will not speak about speculations, but “that killers have left certain traces.”
Vucic said that the Serbian delegation in Brussels interrupted the talks, as it is senseless to talk with everyday threats and sent a message to Kadri Veseli, whom he called “a lord in Kosovo” that he will not reach Nis as he threatened.
“We have understood these threats, we understood them very well, as well as the silence of those who should have reacted to it immediately.”
And Nis would remain a nice city, they can visit as tourists. “But to come with the army, they should forget about it,” Vucic said, B92 reported.
