Kosovo Prime Minister, Ramush Haradinaj, said today that schools in Kosovo must be part of the fight against religious extremism. At a conference titled “Education, key to confront extremism and online radicalism”, Haradinaj said “it is good to speak frankly and to express our concerns because this is about our children and the war is over children”. “Someone is aiming at our children, they view the children of this country as their fighters. Who are these people? They are the same ones that teach children to become suicide attackers. This is about a fight to take our children away from us. We must not keep our eyes closed, we cannot accept to become a battleground for those that come to take our children. Kosovo must say NO to this. If we don’t do this now, it is going to be too late,” Haradinaj was quoted as saying.
