The arrest of six Turkish citizens made Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj dismiss from his duty the director of the Kosovo Intelligence Agency, Driton Gashi and the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Flamur Sefaj.
However, the decision for AKI director cannot be plenipotentiary without the approval of the Presidency. Based on the law, dismissal of the AKI director requires signature of the President, Hashim Thaci.
Indeksonline has learned that Thaci has made a firm decision to make several other dismissals, if AKI director is dismissed. “If Gashi is dismissed, then deputy director Latif Merovci and AKI chief inspector, Shkelzen Sipjani would have to resign too,” said Indeksonline source.
