Several online media quote Serbian Interior Minister Nebojsa Stefanovic as saying that no protocol will save Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj from being arrested if he goes to Serbia. Commenting on Haradinaj’s recent statement that he was ready to visit Medvedja and that his visit would be done according to protocol and with a permit from Serbian authorities, Stefanovic said Haradinaj belongs in prison. “Haradinaj is wanted for serious crimes by our courts and there are no protocols that can protect him,” Stefanovic said. Pristina-based news website Lajmi recalls that Haradinaj was invited last week to attend a traditional event in Medvedja. An advisor to Haradinaj however said on Saturday that the Kosovo PM will not attend the event. “He has made no request and he hasn’t planned a visit there,” the advisor said.
