Prime Minister of Kosovo Hashim Thaçi told members of the Kosovo Assembly that the agreement on customs reached in Brussels will put an end to irregularities and smuggling in the north of the country.

“With this agreement there has been normalization of relations between the two countries in the field of trade while in the political field, Serbia recognized the state of Kosovo in the field of customs,” said Thaçi.

At the same time, Vjosa Osmani from LDK said Prime Minister’s address at the Assembly is not reporting but merely informing and this, according to her, is unacceptable.

Osmani said that implementation of agreements with Serbia without a prior ratification from the Assembly is anti-constitutional.

Head of AAK parliamentary group Ardian Gjini asked for Prime Minister Thaçi to report to the Assembly before meetings in Brussels and that the Assembly is informed on the topics scheduled to be discussed.

Gjini expressed support for the dialogue in Brussels because AAK believes it does not undermine constitutionalism of Kosovo’s state.
