The Civil Society Group for collection of evidence of war crimes and preparing criminal reports against Serbian criminals during the 1998/99 war has delivered today the fifth contingent with criminal reports at the Special Prosecution Office.

Civil Society Group Representative Mevlyde Mezini Saraçi announced that there are over 150 criminal reports filed today with the Special Prosecution Office in Pristina.

“I hope these criminal reports take the path of justice and that criminals will be punished,” said Mezini-Saraçi.

According to her, criminal reports are rich in testimonies and concretizations, which until recently have been hidden.

“Families have described people with names, with last names, with pictures, with masks, have shown who was killed in the family who burned the house. They told that the Yugoslav army has been involved in the part of the new block in Gjakova / Djakovica, on the border with Albania and about the Serbian criminals who used Albanian language masked, to kill their fellow citizens. I think there is enough evidence. They have all written their personal number to be able to testify at court, “she said.

Mezini-Saraçi also invited other municipalities to act the same as Gjakova.

“Today we have come to submit the fifth contingent of criminal charges of Serbian criminals who move freely in Serbia and Kosovo. Gjakova’s mobilization is not sufficient because criminals moved all over Kosovo,” she said.

After filing criminal charges, Saraci said that she believes they will soon see criminals in court, as, as she said, the Prosecution is dealing with the criminal cases presented so far.
