The Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) said it will soon organize a final roundtable aimed at reaching political consensus for setting a date for early parliamentary elections. LDK officials also told the news website that they have a Plan B to bring down the Haradinaj-led government. LDK secretary general, Ismet Beqiri, said: “if consensus is not reached, because it is clear that the ruling coalition is not interested in new elections, then we believe we should set in motion our Plan B and it involves the functioning of the Assembly … We will initiate a motion of trust against the government after the summer break. We will intensify our steps in September”. Asked if his party’s actions would also include blocking the institutions, Beqiri said the institutions are already blocked and that early elections would provide a way out of the current stalemate.
