All online media cover Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj’s meeting today with Pete Marocco, United States Deputy Assistant Secretary and Senior Bureau Official for the Bureau of Conflict and Stabilization Operations (CSO). U.S. Ambassador to Kosovo, Greg Delawie, was also present at the meeting. Haradinaj said the U.S. support is crucial for the processes Kosovo is going through, such as visa liberalization, the finale of dialogue with Serbia and membership of EU and NATO. Haradinaj briefed Marocco on Kosovo’s progress in areas of rule of law, economic development, preventing extremism and radicalization and said his government was committed to long-lasting peace in the country and the region. Haradinaj said Kosovo’s membership of INTERPOL would be good for the region and the EU too in terms of strengthening security. Marocco said the U.S. remains committed to assisting Kosovo in all processes and praised Kosovo’s concrete engagement in fighting extremism and terrorism.
