Deputy Minister of the Kosovo Security Force (KSF) Agim Ceku told Radio Free Europe that Kosovo Security Force is expected to open vacancy announcement to fill in the empty positions of Serb members, who left its ranks a few weeks ago.

“At KSF, one signs the contract to serve there. Regulations for interruption of the contract are foreseen and we have interrupted contracts with a number of our members from the Serb community. We feel very sorry for them,” he said.

‘Now, some positions are vacant and a vacancy announcement to fill in these positions will open soon. Again, with members from Serb community, and I can tell you that there is a great interest to join KSF. So, from the citizens of Serb community in Kosovo,” Ceku said.

The paper further notes that Serb KSF members left due to the pressure exercised by official Belgrade. “Authorities in Belgrade claim that they will engage to obstruct creation of Kosovo’s army,” reports the paper.
